Brian K. MacLeod

Pastor Brian has pastored Bethlehem Baptist Church since October of 1983. Brian had been a lay leader in the church working with the youth, serving on the Deacon Board, and involved in music ministry when the church called him to serve as Pastor. During his tenure, Bethlehem has grown from a congregation of 125 to 375 in Sunday morning attendance. In addition, Bethlehem moved from its Roosevelt Avenue location in Springfield to the new Allen Street facility in the summer of 1991. He serves as the primary teaching pastor at Bethlehem and gives vision, direction, and leadership to the Elder Board and Staff.

Brian has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts (‘72) and a Master of Divinity degree from Seminary of the East (‘90). He and his wife, Sue, live in Hampden. Brian is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. They have two married sons (Kenneth and Jica; Matthew                                                                    and Nadene) and seven grandchildren.

 

Thomas J. Brennan

Tom is the Youth Pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church, and he also leads our Young Adult Ministry. He has been a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church since 1993 and had volunteered as a Youth Leader at Bethlehem for 5 years prior to being hired. Before Tom came to Bethlehem full-time in May of 2001, he served as the Recreation Director for the town of Wilbraham, MA, and as the Associate Executive Director for the Springfield Girls’ Club Family Center, where he worked for 11 years.

Tom attended Southern Connecticut State University (‘81) as an undergraduate and the University of Massachusetts as a graduate student. Tom is married to Carolyn and lives in Wilbraham with their three children—Courtney, Shea, and Riley.

 

Matthew C. MacLeod

Pastor Matt has been on staff at Bethlehem since August 2001. He provides oversight and administration to our worship, children’s, and technology ministries. Matt is involved directly with the choir and vocal ensemble, leading worship regularly, advancing our technology, and along with his wife Nadene, directs Vacation Bible School.

Before becoming Pastor, Matt served in volunteer roles such as Choir Director, Worship Leader, and Growth Group Leader.

Matt has a Bachelor of Music degree from Gordon College (’97) with an emphasis in voice. Matt and Nadene live in Hampden with their four children – Kendall, Ainsley, Carson, and Ashton.

 

Harry O. Reimers

Pastor Harry has been serving Bethlehem for most of his adult life. When he retired, we asked him to join our visitation ministry. Harry has continued in that role for over ten years, faithfully visiting shut-ins, people in the hospital, and new-comers to Bethlehem.

You can always count on Harry to offer a big smile and a warm handshake and greeting whenever you see him.

Harry and his wife, Fern, have 4 adult children and 14 grandchildren; they live in Agawam, MA.
